Interest Crediting Strategies
The MultiChoice IncomeXtraSM offers multiple Interest Crediting Strategies. Your Initial Premium will be allocated to the Strategies based on the Allocation Percentages you select. Any additional Premiums paid after the Contract is issued will be credited to the Fixed Strategy and transferred to your selected Strategies on the next Contract Anniversary. The Interest Crediting Strategies currently available with the MultiChoice IncomeXtraSM are described below.
Fixed Strategy
Premiums allocated to the Fixed Strategy will be credited with a Fixed Interest Rate that is declared by the Company and guaranteed for one year. This Interest Rate can change each Contract Year and is guaranteed to never be less than 2%. Purchase Now
Indexed Strategies
Premiums allocated to the Indexed Strategies will receive Interest that is linked to the performance of several external market indices. The indices do not include dividends paid on the underlying stocks and therefore do not reflect the total return of the underlying stocks. Although Interest Credits are linked to the performance of external market indices, you are not purchasing stock or directly investing in the stock market. The index-linked Interest Credits for each Indexed Strategy will be determined in accordance with the terms of the Contract Endorsement for each Strategy and is guaranteed to never be less than zero.
1-Year Point-to-Point Index Strategy
Index-linked Interest Credits for this strategy will be calculated based on the percentage change in the S&P 500® Index Price each one-year Index Term Period, subject to a Cap Rate. 1-Year Average Index Strategy
Index-linked Interest Credits for this Strategy will be calculated based on the average percentage change in the S&P 500® Index Price each one-year Index Term Period, subject to a Participation Rate and a Cap Rate. The average percentage change will be determined by comparing the S&P 500® Index Price at the beginning of each Index Term Period to the average of the S&P 500® Index Prices on each of the twelve monthly dates following the beginning of each Index Term Period. The Participation Rate and the Cap Rate are declared by the Company at the beginning of each Index Term Period. 1-Year Uncapped Average Index Strategy
Index-linked Interest Credits for this Strategy will be calculated based on the average percentage change in the S&P 500® Index Price each one-year Index Term Period, subject to a Participation Rate and reduced by a Spread. The average percentage change will be determined by comparing the S&P 500® Index Price at the beginning of each Index Term Period to the average of the S&P 500® Index Prices on each of the twelve monthly dates following the beginning of each Index Term Period. The Participation Rate and the Spread are declared by the Company at the beginning of each Index Term Period. 1-Year Point-to-Point Participation Index Strategy
Index-linked Interest Credits for this Strategy will be calculated based on the percentage change in the S&P 500® Index Price each one-year Index Term Period, subject to a Participation Rate. 1-Year Monthly Cap Index Strategy
Index-linked Interest Credits for this Strategy will be calculated based on the sum of the 12 monthly percentage changes in the S&P 500® Index Price each one-year Index Term Period, where each monthly percentage change is subject to a Cap Rate. The monthly percentage change is determined by comparing the S&P 500® Index Price at the beginning of each monthly period during the Index Term Period to the S&P 500® Index Price one month later. The monthly percentage change can be positive, negative or zero. The Monthly Cap Rate is declared by the Company at the beginning of each Index Term Period and guaranteed never to be less than 1%. Although any positive monthly percentage changes will be limited by a monthly Cap Rate, negative monthly percentage changes will not be limited. 1-Year Multiple Index Strategy
Index-linked Interest Credits for this Strategy will be calculated based on the combined average percentage change in the prices of the S&P 500® Index, the Nasdaq-100® and The Dow Jones Industrial AverageSM each one-year Index Term Period, and subject to a Cap Rate. The average percentage change for each Index will be determined by comparing the price of the Index at the beginning of each Index Term Period to the average of that Index’s Prices on each of the twelve monthly dates following the beginning of each Index Term Period. The rate used to determine Interest Credits for this Strategy is equal to the sum of the average percentage change of the best performing Index during the term period multiplied by 50%, the average percentage change of the second best performing Index during the term period multiplied by 30% and the average percentage change of the third best performing Index during the term period multiplied by 20%. 1-Year Uncapped Multiple Index Strategy
